Artemia Group is a collective of women artists from diverse geographical backgrounds, including the United States, South Korea, and Canada. We explore contemporary society by merging personal experiences with aesthetic perspectives. Our mission is to redefine the relationship between individuals and their environment, challenge dominant narratives, and propose new possibilities. Through capturing the flow of time and memory, we aim to foster human connection and encourage inner reflection, offering hope and solace in an uncertain world.
We uncover the extraordinary in everyday objects, breathe new life into discarded items, and reflect on social and cultural themes. Our work examines the coexistence of humans and nature, using everyday objects associated with women to express identity, experience, and the tension between societal expectations and personal desires. By blurring the boundaries between abstraction and figuration, we delve into spiritual thought and the essence of nature, inviting audiences to rediscover beauty, deepen environmental awareness, and gain new perspectives through shared experiences.
Artemia Group believes in the vital role art plays in reconnecting isolated individuals, strengthening communities, and bridging social divides in a post-pandemic world. Through engagement with our audience, we create new meanings and demonstrate the potential of art to drive social change. We strive to harmonize tradition and innovation, East and West, and nature and technology, while reflecting on the role of art in a rapidly changing world.
Our mission is to contribute to a future where individuals, society, and the environment coexist harmoniously through the power of art.
